Overview

Police Map UK is a free tool that displays publicly available police data. We are committed to respecting your privacy and being transparent about what we do and do not collect.

Analytics

We use a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics system to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and all data is aggregated and anonymous.

Location data

If you use the "Use my location" feature, your browser will ask for permission. This data is only used locally to centre the map and is never sent to our servers.

Local storage

Your last-viewed location and preferences may be stored in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.

Third-party services

Used for map rendering. Subject to Mapbox's privacy policy.

data.police.uk

Source of all police data. No personal data is sent to this API.

Nominatim
